I wrote two articles for Gamasutra / GameCareersGuide. The first one was on art directing for video games, and it delves into the nitty gritty of what an art director actually does from day-to-day, the different types of art directors (some are more like managers, and some are very hands on in the art production), and what qualities a good art director should have. |

CG Overdrive 2006 - Largest CG-related conference in Asia. I was invited as a guest speaker for a digital painting workshop. Other guest speakers include artists from Pixar, Blue Sky, Rhythm and Hues, Polygon Pictures (Japan), Robot Communications (Japan), etc.

I made an appearance at Siggraph 2004 (Malaysia Chapter) on January 14, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You can find out the details here and here. While there, I appeared on the TV show "Power Breakfast" with Steven Stahlberg to talk about CG and our projects at Optidigit/Android Blues. I also gave a demonstration for a digital painting I was working on for d'artiste: Digital Painting, and did signings for Expose 1.

Cgcast.com did an audio interview with me last week. You can listen to it here. During the part when I was talking about mortality, I actually said morality instead because I was thinking ahead to the next point I was going to make. Just mentioning it so you don't get confused.

Hehe, pretty cool that cgtalk used my painting as the promo image for the new EXPOSÉ ad banner.
