2006 New Years Dolls

Emily (my buddy Emory's GF) had her BJD (Ball Jointed Dolls) with her when she visited him during New Years. Since I had my photography gear with me, we did a little informal photoshoot with her dolls. The makeshift lighting setup (whatever was available at Emory's house) I used consisted of a high powered tungsten work light (I'm guessing it's roughly 200 watts), a reflector panel made of tin foiled-lined cardboard, and my Speedlite 580EX flash unit (which had the Lighsphere II attached). In some shots I'd bounce my flash off the reflector, and in some shots I'd bounce it off the ceiling. The work light was used mainly as a rim light. The reflector provided the main diffused light. Most poses were either my or Emily's idea, executed by her, and then I'd tweak them a bit to make them look more natural or emotive. Elena did a few poses too, and the risqué ones are all me.
