For this one, I feel like maybe I should have painted with looser brushwork for the subject.

I tried to get a bit looser with this one, making the brushwork a bit more obvious. But I find that when painting the face/skin areas, I tend to render smoother. I’ll have to work on how to portray the level of fidelity I want, but also still impart enough expressiveness in the brushwork.
Rebelle is my favorite painting software currently, and ever since delving deeper into its brush engine and toolset, I’ve stayed away from any other art software as much as I could, because I just enjoy painting with Rebelle more. The only time I have to use other art apps is for teaching (which I use mainly Procreate in iPad Pro), and sometimes Photoshop because Rebelle is missing the type of scumbling/dry brush look I often need, and Photoshop has plenty of those types of brushes. Every once a while I force myself to work in other art software just for a change, but I always come back to Rebelle.
Very good human like art.
