The kitchen isn't as bright during the day as our previous kitchen, but it's got a nicer layout, a pantry, and enough space for a dining table.

Elena and I are not social butterflies, and compound that with the fact we live hours away from family and friends, we rarely ever have guests. That dining table can be expanded to larger size, but I have no idea if we'll ever need to. We don't eat our meals "properly" at the dining table--we usually eat in front of our computer or TV, so we can make better use of our meal time.

To the left of the pantry is the door to the garage and the laundry room.

Elena likes to have her desk close to the kitchen, since she's in the kitchen so much.
