Studio

The new studio looks very similar to the previous studio. Even the dimensions are very similar, and it's one of the main reasons we bought this house--because it had the studio space I needed. The biggest difference is that now all of my books are in the studio instead of the study.

All the corner "superchunk" basstraps are self-contained boxes (filled with glassfiber acoustic insulation) that could be moved easily.

One thing I like about this new studio is that it's a bit longer, so I have more room behind the desk to work on the computers and navigating the cable jungle.

I keep all my guitars and basses in their bags now, because I hate cleaning all the accumulated dust from the tiny nooks and crannies from them. It also stops people who visit from just picking them up and playing with them without asking (all you musicians know how annoying that is).

That wall curtain actually has a full wall-sized mirror behind it. Highly reflective surfaces are terrible for acoustics, so I covered the whole thing up with thick curtains.
