The Ze-Jian Art Institute is considered the best art school in China, beating out even the Central Art Institute in Beijing. They specialize in traditional Chinese painting, and many master painters were trained here. The design of the school was very impressive--modern and traditional intertwined. Everywhere I looked, I was reminded of traditional Chinese painting--from the architecture, landscaping, to the plants.
